Delete your account

You can permanently delete your LinguaSphere account and the data associated with it. There are two ways to do this:

Option 1 — From inside the app (fastest)

If you still have LinguaSphere installed and can sign in, this is the quickest path:

Open LinguaSphere and sign in
Tap the menu (top-left) → Settings
Scroll to Account
Tap Delete Account
Type the confirmation keyword and confirm

Option 2 — Email request (if you've uninstalled)

If you've already uninstalled LinguaSphere or can't sign in, email us from the address on file with your account:

What to include

Send an email to privacy@linguasphere.app with the subject "Account deletion request". Include:

The email address associated with your account
Optional: the reason you're leaving (helps us improve)

We will confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we cannot verify that the request comes from the account owner, we may ask you to send the request from the email address on file or answer a few security questions.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we soft-delete immediately and hard-delete within 14 days:

Your profile (email, display name, language preferences)
All learning progress (vocabulary proficiency, lesson and quiz history, CEFR level, game scores)
All conversation transcripts
Your subscription record (note: cancel the subscription itself in Google Play → Subscriptions — we cannot cancel it on your behalf)

What we keep

For legal and fraud-prevention reasons, we retain a small amount of data:

Hashed user identifier: kept for 2 years to prevent reuse of a deleted account for fraud or abuse
Subscription billing history: kept for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting law
Anonymized usage logs: aggregate analytics with no link back to you

None of the retained data identifies you personally.

Cancel your subscription separately

Important: deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. To stop future charges, also cancel via:

Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LinguaSphere → Cancel
